Places we send our friends

The Ola Mita
Guide.

Where to eat, swim, surf, shop, and wander—personally picked from our favorite corner of the bay.

Live like you know the place

A very good day
starts at the front door.

Ola Mita puts the village within easy reach. Coffee, breakfast, groceries, dinner, the sand, and your first paddle out can all happen without turning the trip into logistics.

This is not every place in town. It is the short list we would give a friend.

Surf around Mita

Pick the wave
for the day.

Ability labels are a starting point, not a guarantee. Swell, tide, wind, crowds, reef exposure, and access can change quickly—check conditions and surf within your ability.

01Beginner · Longboard

El Anclote

Right out front. A mellow, long right over reef that is especially friendly to beginners and longboarders when conditions cooperate.

02All levels

La Lancha

About a 5-minute drive, then a 5–8 minute jungle walk. Multiple right- and left-hand peaks make this an easy group favorite.

03Confident surfers

Punta Burros

About a 10-minute drive. A fun, punchier right-hand point break over rock.

04Intermediate

Bahía

Around a 12-minute boat ride toward the tip of Punta de Mita. Reef-bottom rights and lefts with long rides on the right day.
